About me as an artist. I studied at Elam doing a BFA majoring in graphic design for two years, before transferring to Whitecliffe to finish my final two years of my BFA majoring in fashion. I spent the better part of a decade in the fashion industry, languishing in the colour, design, detail and qualities of fabric and fashion. I then went back to university and gained my masters in teaching primary, to explore other fascists' of my creative side which has further shaped my artist identity. My paintings and creations are a reflection of my personality and life journey, I have spent 20 years refining my craft to get to where I am today. My works embrace colour, and how colour can be manipulated and complimented to evoke different emotions. I lean into my childish spirit, my works are not inhibited or restrained, I let my works grow and guide me. Manipulation of paint, its qualities and textures are always being explored, meaning nothing is ever the same, nor can I duplicate any work, there is authenticity and uniqueness in everything I do. My scope of works is continuing to grow and will always change, but with connection.
